[News] SHINee to release 3rd Japanese single next month.


Five-member boy band SHINee will release their third Japanese single next month, according to their official Japanese website. On Friday, the website revealed that the boys will unveil the new single “LUCIFER” on October 12. “LUCIFER” will be produced to two editions — version A will include the album, a DVD, a 68-page photo booklet, trading cards and a playbutton containing their songs while version B will be composed of the album, a DVD, a 68-page photo booklet, trading cards and a poster. The DVD will feature a short teaser, full version and dance version of the music video to “LUCIFER.”

SHINee debuted in Japan in June of this year with single Replay - 君は僕の everything” (translated into “Reply - You are my everything”), which placed second on Oricon’s daily and weekly chart, as well as making them the first K-pop artist to claim gold with their debut single.

They then held a nationwide tour named “SHINee JAPAN DEBUT PREMIUM RECEPTION TOUR,” which kicked off on July 22, visiting such cities as Tokyo, Kobe, Sapporo and Nagoya.

The group also unveiled their second Japanese single “Juliette” which came in first on Oricon’s daily chart after it was released on August 29.

Composed of members Key, Minho, Jonghyun, Onew and Taemin, SHINee is one of Korea’s most popular male groups who made their debut in 2008 under major talenthouse SM Entertainment.

SHINee recently took the stage at Tokyo’s prestigious Tokyo Dome for their “SMTOWN LIVE in TOKYO SPECIAL EDITION” along with SM Entertainment labelmates TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation and f(x).
