[News] SHINee Minho confirms his 3rd screen role in MBC’s upcoming drama “Medical Top Team".

K-pop idol band SHINee’s Minho will shake female TV viewers’ hearts this October in a white doctor’s gown.

Minho has confirmed his third small screen role in MBC’s upcoming series tentatively titled “Medical Top Team,” the drama’s promoter Y Tree Media said in a press release Monday.

The idol star will take on good-natured thoracic surgery specialist Kim Seong-woo, the youngest member of a top-class joint treatment team also set to be depicted by top actors Kwone Sang-woo, Ju Ji-hoon, Jung Rye-won and Oh Yeon-seo.

In the star-studded medical drama, Minho will play a pivotal role among the resident doctors who will go through a series of trouble in their work and love lives. He will also show his warm heart by supporting his colleague doctor Ah-jin (Oh).

Directed by Kim Do-hoon of hit romance epic “The Moon Embracing the Sun,” the new series will premiere in October as the follow-up of Lee Joon-ki’s upcoming drama “Two Weeks” (translated title) set to start next week.

Before heading off to Japan, Taemin asked Na-Eun for a hug, saying that it was a wish of his. He said, "I'm going to Japan, and you're promoting with A Pink, so we won't see each other for a while. I'm going to miss you."

The A Pink member handed him a teddy bear and selca, surprising Taemin with her gifts and letting him know that she'll be missing him too. He then brought up what he seemed to have had in mind the entire time, saying, "Can you grant a wish of mine?"

Na-Eun gladly accepted his request, and Taemin dove in for his hug. He stated, "I wanted to hug you. To be honest, I wanted to hug you even tighter than I did."

Minho has been cast in MBC's new Wednesday-Thursday drama 'Medical Top Team'!

The SHINee member will be playing a young doctor who is a close friend to Oh Yeon Seo's character. This will be his 2nd drama after 'To the Beautiful You', even though he an appearance in the one-episode special 'Pianist' as well as a sitcom.

'Medical Top Team' is a medical drama where the top, most skilled doctors come together to create a medical dream team. However, the doctors start getting into conflict with one another with love stories in the mix as well. Kwon Sang Woo and Jung Ryeo Won will be playing the male and female leads.

The drama will start airing in October.

[News] Director Park Chan Wook chooses SHINee Key as potential movie casting choice.

On July 22, the press conference for a new movie Snow Piercer, was held, and its director Park Chan Wook, revealed that he would like to cast SHINee’s almighty Key in his future projects.

The director expressed, “My daughter really loves SHINee, so I know them. She especially likes Key the best.” Sharing his daughter’s love for the group’s multi-talented member, Park Chan Wook said that if he were to cast a SHINee member in his movie, it would be Key.

Last year, Key impressed critics and reviewers with his outstanding performance in his debut musical, “Catch Me If You Can”, as Frank Abagnale Jr. His attention to detail and versatile expressions caught the eye of many, and most possibly, Director Park; as the latter emphasized that Key has a lot of sense and personality, which in turn makes him an ideal casting choice for the director’s future movies.

After a couple weeks of teasers and cliffhangers, the results of the 'We Got Married 4' wedding photo shoot have finally been revealed!

On the latest episode, SHINee's Taemin and A Pink's Na-Eun came out top in the voter popularity poll, receiving #1 online. However, in terms of the other results, which included the magazine editors' opinions, they came in 3rd place. Both idols couldn't hide their disappointment, but they were still thankful for the final 2nd place ranking.

Jo Jung Chi and Jung In had to find out where they stood by hacking away at an ice block, but all their work was for naught as they came in last place.

As many, including the 'We Got Married' panel, expected, fashionista Go Jun Hee and her hubby 2AM's Jinwoon took the 1st place crown.

Onscreen idol couple SHINee's Taemin and A Pink's Na-Eun planned their 'We Got Married' honeymoon.

On the latest episode, the results of the wedding photo shoot were out. After hearing they were in store for a special prize, the two started dreaming about their possible honeymoon destinations.

Taemin seemed to have had something in mind. He brought up a trip to Saipan right away, saying, "We should hold hands and grill some meat together. I think I'll end up liking you even more." He added, "Maybe we'll even get in swimsuits and do extreme sports," looking at Na-Eun.

She put an end to his imagination and replied, "I can't wear a swimsuit. I don't think we will."

The producer then revealed the prize, a paper crane, which of course, disappointed them. However, what Taemin and Na-eun hadn't realized was that the answer to their prize was inside the paper crane that the producers gave them.

[News] SHINee’s Onew Is Perfect Fit for Sitcom “The Royal Villa,” Producer Says.

SHINee Onew has been complimented for his natural acting skills on his first-ever regular comedy show.
Kim Seok-yoon, the producer of sitcom “The Royal Villa,” rated Onew’s acting highly during the press conference for the new TV show held at a movie theater in Seoul, Korea on Monday, hours before its premiere on general-programming channel jTBC.

“I had kept close eye on him ever since his debut. I also liked his mask. He is a perfect fit for the show and his role because he is a natural-born actor who doesn’t need any instructing,” Kim explained while revealing behind-the-scenes story of the casting.

Onew joyfully answered back, “I was so surprised that the character has so much in common with me. It was so easy to picture my scenes that were written in the script and it felt like I’m actually inside what’s taking place.”

“It’s my first acting role but I’ll do my best not to be bothersome to the other actors. Minho [his teammate in SHINee] helped me a lot on studying character,” the idol star went onto say, showing his passion for the comic sitcom.

In the show, Onew will play a jobless youngster who lives with a fellow unemployed man (comedian Lee Byung-jin) and an unwanted female ghost house mate (actress O Cho-hee), in one of the five regular skits called “We Live with a Ghost” (translated title).

The sitcom, mixed with elements of comedy genre conte, revolves around tenants living in a shabby villa called the Royal Villa, co-starring actor Ahn Nae-sang, comedian Kim Byung-man, comedienne Shin Bong-sun and anchorman Jang Seong-gyu.

SHINee's Key revealed Jonghyun's rather strange sleeping habits.

Since the SHINee members are always busy with promotions, it's very understandable that they try to get as much sleep whenever possible. It looks like Jonghyun found a comfortable place to sleep in a strange position - stuffed under the counter in their waiting room.

[News] Onew to showcase his acting skills on jTBC’s “Royal Villa".

Onew will take on his first comedic role in JTBC’s sitcom “Royal Villa”!

Onew will be portraying an unemployed youth, which is a big contrast from his flower boy image. He will be starring alongside Lee Byungjin and Oh Chohee, who plays the ghost in the sitcom.

“I’m a bit nervous since this is my first sitcom,” Onew said, “but I will do my best to focus on my role and I am hoping for good results.”

The sitcom “Royal Villa” is a comedy that follows the stories of the different characters living at the villa. The sitcom will be broadcast on July 15.

Girl's Day has definitely piqued the interest of fanboys lately with their latest comeback and one of them happens to be SHINee's Jonghyun!

On the July 3rd airing of 'Shindong's Shimshimtapa' radio, the girls brushed on quite a few topics regarding their new promotions. DJ Shindong said, "It seems you'll win #1 on a music show with 'Female President' so let's make a deal together." Girl's Day then promised, "We will put on nine tails and perform our 'nine-tail fox' dance'."

An awkwardly adorable moment came at one point as Tony An's "Top Star" was played during the broadcast, making the members burst into giggles and Hyeri looked quite shy.

When Shindong asked who the members think seems to have blossomed the most lately with their comeback, Girl's Day chose Sojin. The girls then picked Yura as the member they would like to date if they were guys and listed reasons like, "Even when she gets mad, she easily lets it go", "She's cute", and "She's kind and fun."

A call also came in during the show, and it was from none other than SHINee's Jonghyun, who told Shindong, "I decided to contact you urgently while listening to the radio... I'm a huge fan of Girl's Day's Yura. I've even arrived at the parking lot, but I haven't gotten out of the car because I'm still listening to 'Shimshimtapa'."

Hearing this, Yura said in response, "I'm thankful that an awesome sunbae singer has given our stage attention. When I meet him again, I'll make sure to hand you our signed CD," as Jonghyun chuckled with happiness.

[News] SHINee was praised for their professionalism despite the rain at Hong Kong Dome Festival 2013.

On July 1st, SHINee performed live at the Hong Kong Dome Festival 2013 alongside fellow label mates, BoA, Henry from Super Junior M, f(x) and EXO.

The festival was held outdoors at Kai Tak Development Site, Kowloon City. The event celebrated the friendship and strong union of the two countries (South Korea and Hong Kong), and gathered thousands of eager fans waiting to see their favorite artists.

Unfortunately, halfway through the event, it started to rain heavily. Several artists had to perform despite the weather including contemporary boyband, SHINee. Ever the professional idols, they paid no heed to the heavy downpour and enjoyed it as they performed their last song “Why So Serious?" with utmost passion. Their professionalism definitely impressed the crowd, as they gave it their all throughout their performance.
